Boeing 737-436 registration G-DOCB was delivered new to British Airways in 1991 and flew for 24 years as part of their European fleet. Upon retirement, the aircraft was generously donated to the University for use in research and teaching. The aircraft is an important part of the Digital Aviation Research and Technology Centre (DARTeC) and is its maintenance is generously provided by apprentices from strategic partner, Boeing UK.
The aircraft proudly wears a red nose in recognition of the kind donation by BA and the amazing work they do through their Flying Start and Comic Relief partnership to help tackle poverty.
