Want to make a positive change for student life at Cranfield University?
Want to speak up for or organise events and activities for your fellow students?
Whether you are a taught course or research student, we want you to be involved in how the CSA is run.
There are loads of different positions that require you to be elected into post. Each position has different levels of commitment, roles and responsibilities but all teach you valuable transferable skills such as meeting and chairing skills, strategic awareness, fairness, and increased confidence plus you get to meet loads of new people.
These roles are carried out voluntarily alongside your studies.
Executive Officers
Our Officers talk to students to find out what you want from your CSA and feed this information back to inform future decisions. They represent the student body on committees throughout the university and beyond. Any Cranfield University student can nominate themselves to be an Officer, with elections for positions on the Officer team being held each year in October and April.
Student Trustee
Student Trustees are responsible for the high-level strategic decisions affecting the financial, strategic, legal and reputational decisions of the Association. They are full members of the Board of Trustees – for more information on the Board of Trustees click here. Student trustees can be elected in April or October.
NUS Conference Delegate.
NUS Delegates attend the 3-day NUS National Conference held in April. NUS Conference is the sovereign body of NUS, it is where all major policy decisions are taken. These decisions are around student representation, and issues such as student finance, student housing, and student health/well-being are debated at conferences. The Conference Observer is elected in October.
